Combining the best of local cuisine (like the empanada) and culture (like the tango) with the best of European architecture, Buenos Aires lives up to its billing as “The Paris of South America.” It’s also the gateway to Argentina’s geological wonders, which run from the continental spine of the Andes to the polar fingertips of the Tierra del Fuego.
Porteños love great books, great parties, and great coffee, all of which combine in November’s Night of the Museums holiday, when major art galleries, libraries, and theaters stay open until sunrise. Just what our teenagers have been waiting for: a perfect educational excuse to stay up all night.

Founded by Ángela Goetz de Oría and María Luz Paz de Bustamante in the metropolitan Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo, St. Xavier’s College has been providing a high quality bilingual education to students for over 30 years. During their time at St. Xavier’s College, students are encouraged to take responsibility, enrich their talents, and make choices that develop their confidence; all of which serve as pathways to success. A strong emphasis is also placed on social awareness and community outreach, as St. Xavier’s College works with many local Argentinean institutions to eradicate problems such as poverty, hunger, and illiteracy.
Comprised of four levels of education, St. Xavier’s College begins teaching both Spanish and English at the kindergarten level. Language learning is a key component in graduating global citizens capable of succeeding in the competitive worldwide market.
