Amber is responsible for building and maintaining relations with colleges and universities around the globe on behalf of TGS and its students. She ensures that student materials and TGS policies comply with the most up-to-date college admission and counseling practices. She also collaborates with the on-site school counselor to support seniors through the college search, selection and application process. As a counselor, Amber most enjoys visiting and learning about a variety of institutions and seeing that her students find the best fit. She looks forward to sharing the many positive attributes of TGS students with the higher education community.
Amber brings nearly fifteen years of experience in college admissions and college counseling. She is a member of the International Association for College Admission Counseling and heavily involved in the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC) as co-director for Camp College, an award-winning college access and preparation program and as a delegate for NYSACAC to the National Association (NACAC) Assembly. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in school counseling from Eastern Michigan University.
When she is not occupied in the college counseling world, Amber enjoys traveling, exercise, going to the theater, and rooting for her University of Michigan teams, especially during college football season.
