I was born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a lovely heart-shaped country, as we like to point out, in the Balkans. I became a nomad at a very young age, not by choice, mind you, but due to the war that ravaged my country in the ’90s. However, ever since 2003, I chose to be a nomad, both for educational and career purposes, but really, mainly because I enjoyed learning from first-hand experiences. I graduated from St. John’s University, USA, with a BA in Secondary Education and an MA in Educational Leadership from St. Thomas University, USA, and have worked and lived in a few places around the world.
