Read MoreMATTHEW ALBERT is the self-proclaimed “biggest fan of the IB” – the International Baccalaureate programme. On February 17, 2012, Matthew spoke to the students of PTIS and THINK Global School in Chiang Mai, Thailand about the daunting IB programme and how to tackle this big endeavor.
In this first part of his hour-long lecture, he poses a question to the students:
How do you eat an elephant?
Matthew’s answer is to break it down into small pieces and eat those pieces. Over time, the entire elephant is consumed. The same goes for tackling all the various components of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. He then focuses on the CAS components of creativity, action, and service – proving to grade 9 and 10 students how valuable these activities can be.
Students left feeling better prepared for their future academic pursuits.
These videos are parts 1 & 2 of the full lecture by Matthew Albert.
