1) Hi Nada, can you tell us what you've been up to since graduating from THINK Global School in 2022? Since graduating in 2022, I've been pursuing a passion I found while at TGS, sustainability, and I am currently majoring in engineering in renewable energy systems at Al Akhawayn University, in Ifrane, Morocco. Read MoreLooking back, it’s hard to believe it was just a little over a month ago that we put the finishing touches on another extraordinary school year.
During a cool summer evening in Bilbao, Spain, we watched as the 13 graduates pictured above stood on stage and reflected on their shared experiences, revealing deep bonds that were forged across many countries, incredible excursions, shared meals, and late night IB study sessions. Their well-worn passports and unquestionable integrity serving as proof to our younger students that working hard and maintaining an open mind to the world can result in extraordinary things. Congrats to each of our grads on passing their IB exams, and we look forward to watching them continue to grow.
From IB Exams to Changemaker Modules
2017-18 also marked a sea change for us as a school. We trusted our senses and committed fully to our unique Changemaker Curriculum, which combines place- and project-based learning to put the student back in charge of their own learning. Were there stumbling blocks along the way? A few, but we grew from these situations, as did our students. And their feedback will help make our new students’ experiences that much better, a pattern we will maintain over time as more students progress through.
Right now our 2018-19 school year is getting underway, which marks another monumental milestone for our community: this year, for the first time, we have two cohorts traveling the world, providing more students than ever the chance to gain a global education. New students this year will travel to last year’s countries of Botswana, India, Japan, and Spain, and our returning students will travel to China, Oman, Costa Rica, and Greece. A special thank you to the McPike Foundation for making our dreams of scaling up possible.
