José Antonio Cao was born in Cuba in 1979 and began a self-taught yoga practice at the early age of fourteen. His strong commitment to the discipline lead him to contact his first yoga teacher, who inspired his practice until he finally decides to leave his home country and travel to Spain. Here he began a career as a yoga teacher, specializing in the Iyengar style.
Twelve years later, José Antonio has established his home and yoga centers in Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). Today he is the manager and teacher at Estudios Yogasastra, which consists of 4 yoga centers (Yogasastra Santa Cruz, Puerto de la Cruz, La Laguna and Radazul) and has an enrollment of 170 students, an number that is increasing every year.
José Antonio is currently sharing his own experiences in the practice and teachings of yoga with his fellow teachers and other yoga practitioners by means of two very interesting online projects: www.classes-yoga.com and www.nexoyoga.com. These two new adventures are receiving very positive feedback from hundreds of yoga practitioners around the globe.
