As we mark the end of another remarkable school year, I find myself reflecting on what an extraordinary privilege it has been to serve as Principal of THINK Global School. When I stepped into this role, I was immediately struck by the warmth of the community. Joining TGS was probably one of the most random decisions I made, but also one of the best. TGS has changed my view on education completely. Sitting in a classroom and listening to a lecture for hours was not the best fit for me, and my education had to expand beyond those four walls. As a creative individual, I felt I couldn’t fully express my potential. TGS not only enabled me to control my education but also helped me bring my ideas to life. It sparked in me the willingness to learn instead of forcing me to do something I don’t like, and I have thrived in an environment where I was naturally eager to put my all into a project and achieve my vision.
2) How has being part of an international community influenced your understanding of different cultures and perspectives?
The culture at TGS is genuinely unique. Joining 40 other nationalities gathered under one roof has been the biggest culture shock I’ve experienced. I’ve had the opportunity to learn from each individual, gaining insights into their home culture and perspective on life. I’ve never been part of such an impactful community before, and I know it’s an experience I won’t find anywhere else. I am so grateful for the chance to grow alongside these people and build friendships that will last beyond this journey.
3) What advice would you give future students considering joining TGS?
Well, be ready to embark on a two- or three-year side quest, where you will broaden your understanding of our world. Bring your authentic self, and don’t be afraid to try new things because you will do that a lot. Explore, touch, feel, and learn to embrace the challenges as they come. Push yourself to reach your full potential. You will be amazed at how much you will grow.
