Developing physical awareness, one student at a time.

Your growth as a human is our number-one priority at THINK Global School – and that includes your body, mind, and spirit. While you won’t find a traditional gym-shorts-and-whistles physical education program here, we do place a strong emphasis on physical fitness and encourage you to develop an exercise regimen that strengthens your body and nurtures your soul.

Personalized Fitness

From swimming to skateboarding, stay active doing what you love.

“Ever since I started attending THINK Global School three years and three months ago, my mentality has been to see as much as possible using my boards. Looking back at Argentina in 2012, I was able to achieve a more personal goal of locating and riding every known skate spot in Buenos Aires.” —Isaac, Class of 2015

Be Strong in Body and Spirit

Your Grade 10 Physical Education course is designed to prepare you for three years of healthy living and physical growth. Through games, workshops, and peer-led activities you’ll learn to identify the forms of exercise most enjoyable to you and utilize them to cultivate an overall healthy lifestyle throughout your time at THINK Global School and beyond.

In Grades 11 and 12 you’re expected to maintain physical fitness through the self-directed activities of your choice: whether it’s yoga, tennis, brisk walks with friends, or all of the above. Being strong and active is crucial for participation in many weXplore excursions, which may involve strenuous hiking, swimming, or paddling in some of the world’s most stunning locations.

While the school’s size and migratory nature make maintaining traditional sports teams challenging, THINK Global School proudly boasts its own soccer club, which practices weekly and enjoys frequent games against other international schools as well as the occasional friendly-yet-competitive student vs. teacher match. In some countries, intramural competitions with local schools are arranged by our PE teacher to help build relationships and introduce our students to regional exercises and dance. If you’re passionate about a team sport, we encourage you to get some friends on board and form an ad-hoc league – you never know when you could change someone’s life doing something you love!

on fitness at TGS:

Working out has been a big thing at TGS. Working out in all of the different locations has been really fun and challenging because you have to do something new in each place. I ran up a mountain in Florence for the first time this morning and realized … uhhh.. my lungs don’t like mountains a lot! That part of it, being able to go out and have these new experiences is what challenged and changed me the most.
