Read MoreWith our Vietnam term now roughly halfway complete, we have a significant piece of news to share: Beginning this July, Jen Buchanan will officially take over as Principal for THINK Global School.
A Bit of Background on Jen
A native of Australia and an avid traveler, Jen joins us from her current role as Head of Tay Creggan at Strathcona Girls Grammar School in Melbourne. Prior to this role, she served as the Director of Engagement at Future Anything, where she designed and led programs that reimagine education through entrepreneurial and inquiry-based learning.

Jen brings a wealth of relevant experience to her second tenure at TGS, having also worked as an educational consultant for Future Schools and as the Head of Senior School at Preshil Secondary School. A qualified GROWTH coach, she holds two Master of Education degrees, including one in Leadership and Learning.
Beyond her work in schools, Jen serves on the board of the Wajoli Foundation in Uganda, an organization working to empower women and communities through education and skills training.

She has earned a distinguished track record for fostering inclusive communities, delivering high-quality programs, and leading strategic initiatives that enhance student and staff well-being.

Having previously worked at THINK Global School between 2017–2019, Jen also possesses an intimate knowledge of life on the ground and the value we place on community. These insights will prove invaluable as we continue reenvisioning our curriculum, with her passion for fostering dynamic, multicultural learning environments playing a crucial role in ensuring our students thrive both academically and personally.
Next Steps
Jen will join us part-time over the next few months in Vietnam and Italy as we gradually onboard her in preparation for her full-time role in the upcoming academic year. This smooth transition is only made possible by our current Head of School Andy Wood’s ongoing contributions and dedication to the school.
