1) Hi Nada, can you tell us what you've been up to since graduating from THINK Global School in 2022? Since graduating in 2022, I've been pursuing a passion I found while at TGS, sustainability, and I am currently majoring in engineering in renewable energy systems at Al Akhawayn University, in Ifrane, Morocco. Read MoreSince leaving TGS nearly three years ago, Mark has been studying at NYU Abu Dhabi where he is a computer science major. Mark said that he has been very pleased to see other graduation of TGS also choosing to study the same subject.
TGS: What are you doing in New York City?
Mark: I am studying abroad for a semester at NYU New York. NYU Abu Dhabi gives students the option to study at another campus for a semester so I decided to take advantage of it. There are more course offerings at NYU’s main campus and city living has been a nice compliment to Abu Dhabi’s desert.
TGS What have you been enjoying outside of your classes?
Mark: I have been getting back into photography since arriving in New York. The city provides a lot of inspiration. I like to get my camera and wander around exploring.
TGS: Were you intimidated coming to a big city?
Mark: New York definitely has a reputation for being an intense city, but it was less intimidating because I had come here with TGS for a week. We did all of the tourist stuff when we were here so this time around I have been exploring places like Brooklyn and Astoria.
TGS: Have you seen many Alumni since being in New York?
Mark: New York is a bit of a pocket for TGS, not only is the office here but a lot of Alumni are in New York or a short train ride away. My first night here I got tea with Hannah and Jawed and last weekend I traveled upstate to visit Beny and Charis. A lot of people also pass through here and it’s been so nice to reconnect with everyone.
TGS: You only have one year left of school, what do you plan to do after you graduate?
I am not yet 100% sure what I will do after I graduate. I am currently considering working full time or continuing onto graduate school. I am starting to prep for the GRE test so that I have my options open.
