Tan Le co-founded and ran SASme and in 2003 co-founded Emotiv Systems, Inc. She helped grow SASme from its humble beginnings to a thriving company with 35 employees and multiple locations worldwide. She served as Director of Emotiv Systems, Inc and has also worked with one of Australia’s leading law firms, Freehills.
She was a Special Visitor to the United Kingdom as a guest of the British High Commission and Foreign Commonwealth Office, a Goodwill Ambassador for Australia in Asia, and a Patron of the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development Program. She has been an Ambassador for the Status of Women since 2001, and has been appointed to a number of prominent Boards.
In 1998, she was named Young Australian of the Year and voted one of Australia’s 30 Most Successful Women Under 30. She has been named in the “Who’s Who in Australia” list since 1999 and was named in Fast Company’s “Most Influential Women in Technology” in 2010. Her story was featured in the Eternity Exhibition of the National Museum of Australia and she has been honoured by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader since 2009.
