A group of Class 10 students from New York-based “THINK Global School” — a travelling high school that sends its students from different nations to other countries on learning trips — collected samples of the Ganga water during their visit to Varanasi.

They followed Ulysses through Greece. They built a school for less fortunate children in India and crossed the Great Wall of China. It is not about an NGO, but about the students of the only “traveler” high school in the world. At THINK Global School, children learn in four different countries per year.

We’re seeing–from Getting Smart, Education Reimagined, and others–more and more helpful lists of schools that are pushing the envelope of the traditional school model. But at the moment, with everything that’s surfacing, it’s a bit hard to decipher what themes are emerging and where things are headed.
