1) How do you think your education at TGS has prepared you for the future?
When I look back atmy journey, I couldn’t be more proud and grateful for the person I am today. TGS has provided experiences that have helped me mature, become more responsible, and be ready to face future challenges. The biggest lesson I take from my time here is self-awareness. Before joining the school, I constantly defined myself by my mistakes or the things I was not good at. I was closing my potential in a box since I didn’t have the chance to explore who I was and who I wanted to be. TGS was the space where I learned about myself, celebrated my challenges through reflection, and empowered my strengths through collaboration.
I leave with big goals and aspirations, as TGS has taught me that the only limits are the ones we put on ourselves. Being exposed to so much change in the past two years has allowed me to develop the skill of adaptability, and I leave ready to embark on new journeys and face new challenges without limiting myself and thinking outside traditional perspectives.
2) How has being part of a diverse and international community influenced your understanding of different cultures and perspectives?
I think the best part of this school is the people. TGS introduced me to the most wonderful group of individuals who have taught me so much, both individually and collectively. What’s even more exciting about this is that we were all different. We all came from different backgrounds and cultures, and we all shared different narratives and perspectives. Yet, our community embraced these differences and formed friendships that I hope I keep forever. Being part of such a unique community has encouraged me to think outside the box, challenge my comfort zone, and embrace new ideas, cultures, and values.
