1) Hi Nada, can you tell us what you've been up to since graduating from THINK Global School in 2022? Since graduating in 2022, I've been pursuing a passion I found while at TGS, sustainability, and I am currently majoring in engineering in renewable energy systems at Al Akhawayn University, in Ifrane, Morocco. But there is way more than that! I've had a chance also to explore the world of...

Being part of such an incredible community has allowed me to explore parts of my identity I didn’t know I had and become fully confident in who I am and what I stand for. All the experiences and people who have been alongside me on this journey have expanded my vision of the world and our role in it so much. It has allowed me to see how enriching everyone’s story and, despite all of our differences and traits which make this community so unique, we are able to stand together. The bonds I formed at TGS are extremely powerful, and the trust I have in those around me is incommensurable, which really proves that our diversity really is our strength.
2) Thinking about the various countries and cultures you’ve experienced, is there a specific place you feel strongly connected to?
I could give the easy answer and say Mexico, which is where I’ve lived for most of my life, but I have felt immensely connected to both Athens and Mumbai. Both of these cities are bustling and filled to the brim with people, but I could feel something extremely genuine about both of them whilst I was there. The array of experiences I had in both simply blew my mind away and made me feel not only at home, but it also made me want to go above and beyond to get to truly know every back alley in Lycabettus Hill, every samosa stand in Bandra West, and every story from every person in the city.
3) How do you plan to apply the global perspectives and skills you’ve gained at TGS in your future endeavors?
TGS has allowed me to find my true calling: storytelling. Throughout TGS, I have worked in a module based around Botswana’s oral storytelling tradition, a module which allowed me to film and interact with the incredible traditions, history, and community of the Aborigines, rewrite Greek mythology into modern retellings, and explore my heat tolerance through a chili mockumentary. Most importantly, it has allowed me to write two poetry collections and pursue my passion for writing poems and expressing those aspects of who I am and what I want to reach, which I can’t express otherwise. This diversity of experiences has taught me that wherever I go in the future, I will be able to tell and share the stories I find and believe in, and it will help me create a life surrounding the art of storytelling.
