Türkiye

Where East Meets West

Uniquely situated between Europe and Asia, Türkiye is a crossroads of ancient history and vibrant cultures, making it the perfect setting for our students’ explorations.

From the historic host city of Istanbul to the landscapes of Cappadocia, THINK Global School students will immerse themselves in hands-on projects that reveal Türkiye’s diverse influences on art, architecture, and philosophy. Students will have myriad opportunities to connect deeply with local traditions, experience the legacy of eight major empires, and gain a nuanced understanding of Türkiye’s influence in shaping global history.

Potential Projects

  • How does Ottoman architecture shape the identity and aesthetics of modern-day Türkiye?

  • In what ways can traditional Turkish arts, like Ebru and carpet weaving, evolve within contemporary art forms?

  • How do Cappadocia’s unique landscapes and ancient cave dwellings reveal Türkiye’s geological and cultural history?

  • What can Turkish regional cuisines teach us about Türkiye’s cultural interactions and culinary evolution?
