Our recent CM2 fall term, which took place between October and December in Dubai, was a memorable one for students as it coincided with Expo 2020. ¡Saludos desde México! This fall, CM1 became the first TGS cohort to visit Mexico for a term. The decision to visit Mexico was strategic given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Visas were readily available to most of our students, meaning fewer students would need to conduct the term remotely. Additionally, the country's moderate climate meant that our students could routinely spend time learning and socializing outdoors.  The pleasant climate, coupled with...

I learned a lot during my first term at TGS, especially how to communicate effectively with the limited resources you have. The module I participated in exposed me to many things, whether it be learning or bonding with people. Most importantly, this term reinforced the fact that my decision to come to TGS was the right one. -Class of 2023 Student Aarushi A. As a traveling high school, we are...

So many things happened here in Botswana, and so many more things were learned from the people and the places around us. Personally, I was more inclined towards the biodiversity and nature aspect of the term, especially the Rite of Passage and the weXplore, but everything was absolutely amazing! -Class of 2023 Student Camille A. A new school year is always an exciting affair, but the start of our 2021-22...

1. Hi Maxim. It's been two years now since you graduated from THINK Global School. What have you been up to in that time?  Since graduating from TGS, I have been attending the University of Toronto studying mineral (mining) engineering. Another school year has concluded at THINK Global School, and it is safe to say this was truly a year unlike any other. Like many schools worldwide, we opted to switch from in-person learning to remote learning for all four terms. While this was a difficult decision to make, the transition was eased by our students' work already being planned, tracked, and assessed via our project-based learning platform, Headrush. Digital...

Another school year is coming to a close at THINK Global School, which means graduation is right around the corner for the Class of 2021. Term 3 (our winter term) is officially in the books here at THINK Global School. For example, do you only feel comfortable when there is a set amount of time for each activity -- an hour here for lunch, two hours here for a modern museum, perhaps an hour for the botanical gardens before arriving at your all-important dinner reservation? Or, on...

Term One is officially in the books! Our CM1 community was based in Sabah, Malaysia's capital city of Kota Kinabalu, which serves as a gateway to the island's many natural splendors. Sabah is playing the role of a “classroom” for 34 international students as they spend two months learning about the State’s diversity and acquiring fresh experiences that they may incorporate into their lives back home. The students, aged between 15 and 17, are from the New York-based Think Global School – the world’s first traveling high school. They live and study in a different country every semester, engaging in place-based and project-based learning pertinent to the nations they visit.

Where and how do you learn? How do you develop a passion for curiosity? How do you keep your mind open to new people, ideas, and possibilities? These are all questions being faced by educators and students as our world gains a more global context.  For a rare few who are lucky enough to have talented and equally curious teachers, this might happen in the confines of the classroom.
